This role is deeply technical and development-focused, with ownership of system architecture, code quality, and technical decision-making across the platform.
As a Technical Architect, you will work closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and QA teams to translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions. You will lead architecture design, contribute directly to development, and ensure the platform remains scalable, secure, and maintainable as it grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Technical Design
- Own and define end-to-end system architecture across frontend, backend, and platform components.
- Design scalable, resilient, and secure architectures for cloud-native and distributed systems.
Drive architectural decisions for:
- Frontend: JavaScript-based applications (React preferred)
- Backend: Python services (APIs, workers, integrations)
- Platform: CI/CD workflows, infrastructure automation, and deployment pipelines
- Evaluate and introduce appropriate technologies, frameworks, and design patterns.
Hands-on Development Leadership
- Remain actively involved in coding, design reviews, and complex problem-solving.
- Lead development of critical features, shared libraries, and core platform components.
- Review code to ensure high standards of quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Establish and enforce best practices for coding, testing, documentation, and observability.
DevOps & Platform Engineering
- Architect and optimize CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Drive automation across build, test, release, and deployment processes.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of production systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams on infrastructure design and operational excellence.
Collaboration & Technical Influence
- Partner closely with Product Managers to convert functional requirements into technical designs.
- Act as a technical advisor and escalation point for complex engineering challenges.
- Mentor senior engineers and guide teams on architecture, design, and implementation decisions.
- Clearly communicate architectural trade-offs, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on system design and architecture.
Proven hands-on expertise in:
- Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar frameworks
- Backend: Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar)
- Strong experience designing and building scalable, production-grade systems.
Solid understanding of:
- APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Ability to balance short-term delivery needs with long-term architectural vision.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on DevOps or developer tooling platforms.
- Exposure to high-scale SaaS platforms and multi-tenant architectures.
- Prior experience acting as a Technical Architect or Principal Engineer.
- This role is ideal for a hands-on Technical Architect who enjoys building systems, writing code, and shaping the technical direction of a complex, developer-focused platform.
