OpsTree × Claude · Case Study
The agentic software delivery platform that connects code, security, delivery and production operations through one continuous control plane.
At a glance
BuildPiper is OpsTree’s agentic software delivery and DevSecOps platform. It replaces a fragmented toolchain with one control plane that guards code, delivers it to production and keeps it healthy once live.
Faster time to market
Lower tooling spend
Returned per developer each week
Trusted by enterprise
The limit of the old model
Enterprises still operate across 15+ disconnected tools, with security gates developers can route around to hit dates. Engineers can spend close to 40% of the week troubleshooting rather than building.
The problem is no longer simply shipping faster. It is delivering good code at AI speed—and keeping it healthy once live.
What BuildPiper does
Every pull request is evaluated before entering the pipeline. Delivery runs through one control plane across heterogeneous enterprise infrastructure. Once live, production signals feed investigation and remediation back into the delivery workflow.
Built with Claude
OpsTree’s engineering team uses Claude Code to develop new BuildPiper capabilities across delivery, security and intelligence. Claude Code is part of how the continuous feature cadence is sustained.
Claude inside BuildPiper
Every pull request is scored across nine signals before it moves: committer confidence, intent alignment, code volume, single functionality, change impact, critical functionality, quality, security and test adequacy.
Claude reads the change in context, layered on the scanners an enterprise already runs.
An engineer asks a question in plain language. BuildPiper plans the investigation, runs read-only queries against the observability stack and returns an evidence-backed root cause with the trail of how it was found.
Claude powers root cause analysis, remediation recommendations, incident summarisation and runbook generation.
Open model layer
The model layer is open. Enterprises with an existing model relationship can connect it directly. OpsTree recommends and configures Claude by default.
In production
The transformation
BuildPiper creates a continuous loop: Understand → Build → Secure → Deliver → Observe → Investigate → Remediate → Improve.
