Our client faced several interconnected challenges. 

Delayed Data Availability 

Account-statement information depended on scheduled ETL processing, while AI Mule Detection relied on D-1 transaction data generated after end-of-day batches. 

This delayed access to current customer information and slowed the identification of suspicious mule-account activity. 

Complex Enterprise Integration 

Customer, account, transaction, beneficiary and card information originated from multiple banking platforms, including Temenos T24 and Cortex. 

Synchronizing these datasets reliably across downstream applications without creating additional complexity was becoming increasingly difficult. 

Protecting Existing Technology Investments 

The organization had already invested significantly in Informatica PowerExchange and PowerCenter for Change Data Capture (CDC). 

Replacing this mature ecosystem would introduce unnecessary risk and disruption. Instead, the new architecture needed to complement and extend the existing integration landscape.

The target platform needed to support encrypted communication, centralized authentication, role-based authorization, governed event schemas and controlled access across the enterprise.

The Solution: Building a Secure Enterprise Event-Streaming Platform 

Rather than replacing existing integration capabilities, OpsTree designed a secure event-streaming architecture that seamlessly integrated with the organization’s CDC ecosystem.

OpsTree integrated the Confluent Platform with the organization’s Informatica PowerExchange and PowerCenter ecosystem, allowing captured database changes to be securely published into Apache Kafka without modifying existing source systems.
